There are several references about the Nephilim in the Bible. The most common and literal reference to calling these giants by the name “Nephilim” or “Nephilites” is the mention of them Genesis in chapter 6. The Bible describes the Nephilim as giants. These giants would become corrupt causing God to destroy or punish them in the great flood. Some references say that the Nephilim still existed after the flood, which is referenced in Genesis  as seen below.
